Tonight was the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) 2008 awards. I’m so excited that both Francisco Costa (Calvin Klein) and Rodarte won awards! Definitely two of my very favorite collections right now. I’m disappointed in the choice of Tory Burch for accessories. But even as a huge Marc Jacobs fan I don’t think any of the nominees were really the best of the year. But Tory Burch?! Seriously?! She has like one design and print that she plasters on everything! It’s disappointing that connections and politics play such a huge part into who is nominated and ultimately wins but I suppose that is true in any industry. Anyway, I’ll post some red carpet pictures from the event tomorrow but for now here is a list of the nominees and winners according to WWD:

  1. Screw Tory Burch. I thought Kors should’ve gotten it.

  2. Thank you for the info! I love Dries. Their watershed print is so pretty and they have tried harder recent years!
