I’m still bemoaning the snow so I set off in search of some much needed warm weather inspiration.
I found it in Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection that hit the runway back in December.
Inspired by the Maharajahs and India itself (Karl has never been. In fact, he told Style.com, “It’s much more inspiring not to go to place than to go.” Ohhhhhkay, Karl.) Chanel plunged head first into magnificent extravagance mixing a vision of India with the intricate craftsmanship and sophistication of France.
The colors, the jewelry, and the hand embroidery all led me to a dreamy, warm world with elephants trumpeting off in the distance.
