You know when someone says, “Oh, everything looks good on her!” and you think, “Yeah. Except maybe orange or peplums or watermelon prints…”? Well, Lupita Nyong’O is the exception to that rule. Literally, everything this woman puts on (be it a crazy Rodarte leaf, a shocking blue or a plain neutral) looks amazing. Just like everyone else on the planet, I’ve been stunned by her metaphoric fashion rise since her performance in 12 Years A Slave. Just last night she stunned at the 2014 BAFTAs in an emerald Christian Dior gown.

And while she’s definitely on the road to Oscar, she’s already caught the eye of Miuccia Prada (Lupita is the face of Miu Miu for Spring/Summer 2014) and Anna Wintour. As far as I’m concerned, that’s just a tiny bit better than the Academy!

Lupita Nyong’O topped pretty much every best dressed list after her first major red carpet at the Golden Globes in Ralph Lauren. It definitely put her on the map, but she’d been making waves since the premiere of 12 Years last summer in a white Prada. (She also has the best celebrity Instagram if you’re into that sort of thing…)

She’s currently working with stylist Micaela Erlanger (who also styles Michelle Dockery) but I think Lupita’s natural taste shines through and I can’t wait to see what they come up with for the Oscars!
