Youthful elegance reigned supreme at Marni! It was surprising to see the more grown up look but certainly refreshing. The collection shouldn’t have made sense (seemingly hundreds of elements from heavy to subtle scattered about the pieces) but Consuelo Castiglioni managed to pull it all together to create a coherent collection.Boxy, sporty coats and tops, lots of fur panels and tweeds, and plaids piled on top of plaids all in a very urban colors.
I love most of the collection especially the use of furs and jewelry but I really dislike the over sized gloves that kept me humming “Big hands I know you’re the one…” over and over in my mind. It didn’t look like creating a new silhouette or shape but rather that they were simply wearing gloves nine sizes too large for their tiny model hands.
Other than that though this collection is pretty and one of the more inspiring collections shown in Milan.

Interesting collection, but damn, there is nothing youthful or elegant about the color of her coat in the first picture. It’s such a… low-budget ’70s sitcom color.
the last look i love. very into yellow as of late.
