Not full runway reviews but here are the looks I liked from some collections over the past few days.
I have a soft spot for Adam Lippes since I met him during one of my internships. While I’m fairly sick of plaid (I think its just that time of the winter) I really adored the juxtaposition between the masculinity of the lumberjack print and the sexy, soft lace top.
I loved the color, movement, and shape of this look from Edun.
The girls over at The Row may have started with a t-shirt but they’ve proved that they are more than a celebrity line. Cinched waists, delicate laces, strong shoulders, fur! fur! fur! and the new shoe collaboration with Toms helped them create a luxurious, cohesive collection.

I know a lot of people loved the animal prints at Jill Stuart (literal pictures of woodland creatures- not their spots!) but I did not. I think it was the coloring. But I did like the coats and fur collars plus the sophisticated shapes.

Jenni Kayne continues to be one of my favorite designers. I think a huge part of the appeal of her line is that she presents the ideal California girl again and again. As a New Englander there is a certain mystique to California. And its not just the weather (although that beach lifestyle sounds good) or even the Hollywood glamour but the casual ease that those quintessential Cali girls exude. I enjoyed the whole collection but I think these three looks perfectly captures the mood!
