Vera Wang combined a modern take on Japanese obis with a boyish silhouette to create a look of pure sophistication for Pre-Fall 09. Tulle lined sweaters, cropped trousers paired with sleek black tights, and bejeweled everything kept the Vera Wang aesthetic in the fore-front but the narrow silhouette and dark palette was reminiscent of the great Coco Chanel.
This last look is actually my favorite because it’s the type of thing I can actually see myself wearing. I love layering lots of fabrics (chiffon, cashmere, silk) and I always wear cardigans or wraps so I love how these pieces were styled. What is your favorite look from the collection?

  1. I can totally see you rocking the last look, too. My fav is look #2. The skirt is so delicate & pretty! And the top is so decidedly un-frilly; I love the combo.
