I know I’ve been back from Florida for, like, a week but I still feel like I’m playing catch up. Responding to emails has quickly become the bane of my existence while actually blogging has been pushed to the side. I guess every business has it’s share of busy work though and I could have it a lot worse. After all, I get to walk my dog in the middle of the afternoon and run errands while everyone else is stuck in an office! Being a freelancer is 10% hard work and 90% self-motivation with some hustle thrown in for good measure. I’m still working on my hustle game but in the meantime these are the pieces and products that I’m loving for June 2014!
Bluemercury opened their fifth Boston area boutique earlier this month while their CEO and Co-Founder launched three new products in her M-61 skincare line. I was lucky enough to test out the JetGlow Serum and I’m seriously obsessed. I’m at the point where my skin needs some extra hydration and anti-aging properties but can’t handle heavy oils without breaking out. The oil-free JetGlow Serum is the perfect weight, smells amazing and doesn’t make my skin angry. It’s a bit of a splurge at $98 but I only need a tiny amount once a day so I expect the bottle to last for a long time.
If the weather here would cooperate, I’d be able to make better use of the Free People shorts I lived in down in Florida. The textured high-rise short have a vintage vibe and look like lace so they can easily be dressed up or down. If it wasn’t so cold I’d be wearing them now…it IS June isn’t it? I wore out my favorite pair of Soludos down there so I have my eyes on Tory’s Beacher Flat to replace them. Luckily for me, they are on sale!
Which reminds me, if you’re lucky enough to be jetting out of town at all this summer, how are you getting to the airport? Blacklane, one of Europe’s largest car services, just launched in the US and was kind enough to give me a preview with a ride into Logan before my flight. Chilled bottle water, built in charging plugs for nearly every device, all in a comfortable Mercedes made getting to the airport surprisingly relaxing. I enjoyed it so much that I booked them for my return trip too! And when my flight was delayed six hours, they made sure I had a driver waiting for me curbside when we landed at 4 AM. Plus, the tip is included in the quoted fare which means I didn’t have to worry about carrying cash. Fabulous!
POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR MustHave box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.
