This fall, one of Germany’s most iconic brands, Wellensteyn, quietly opened it’s first US location at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets! I was lucky enough to be able to check out the industrial-style space early in December and test out their uber-warm coats for myself!
Located in the back of the complex (closest to the Welcome Center for those of you who don’t fancy a long walk), Wellensteyn has a large, cool space. You walk in and immediately feel like you’re on the docks in the arctic and want to jump right in to trying on their stylish but functional jackets. The company actually began as a workwear brand for deep-sea fishing in Germany over sixty years ago. If the line can stand up to those harsh conditions and keep German fisherman warm than you know you’ll be more than fine battling Boston snow!
